Design, Analysis, and Testing of pneumatic and hydraulic servo proportional flow control valves. Responsible for managing new and custom products including hardware, electronics, and software as well as sustaining and manufacturing engineering. Much of the role required maintaining a knowledge in the state of the art of manufacturing processes, materials, and coatings while developing relationships with new potential suppliers.

Independent Consultant, University of Minnesota

May 2016 - Present

Active consulting giving expertise on analysis, design, optimization, and prototyping of a functional variable displacement linkage motor. I provide guidance to faculty and graduate students as well as design contributions. I am a named inventor on the patent of the design used during my time as a Doctoral Researcher the University of Minnesota.

Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Minnesota

August 2015-September 2016

Designed a five cylinder variable displacement pump for the Americas Cup yacht racing team Artemis Racing. Modeling, optimization, design, manufacture, and experimental validation of prototype pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems. I had a leadership role in the Mechanical Energy and Power Systems Lab where I developed research plans, conducted research, and supervised daily activities. I was required to maintain laboratory equipment and safety systems in addition to the supervision of both graduate and undergraduate researchers. I also wrote reports, research papers, and grant proposals.
